MSP Pipes go through an extensive manufacturing procedure, right from uncoiling and levelling of coils to the manufacturing of multiple pipes sections to meet the desired quality standards before they are catered to our channel network spread across the breadth of the country. The wide range of sections we offer has assurance of best-in-class quality, better durability and a lifetime of reliability.
PROPERTIES
Steel hollow sections are the most versatile and efficient option for construction and mechanical applications. MSP Pipes have a wide range of industrial & commercial applications owing to its wide range of section offerings, pan India distribution network and customizable cut to length sizes. The key USPs of MSP Pipes are:
- Manufactured from best-in-class coils.
- Lesser surface exposure that act as a barrier to rust
- Have less painting and maintenance cost
- Modulus of rigidity, G = 0.769x105 N/mm2 (MPa)
- Lower dead weight - helps in reducing the design loads

QUALITY CONTROL
High-tech computer aided testing facilities in our NABL certified laboratory at our Integrated Steel Plant in Raigarh are used to carry out all the necessary quality checks, thereby ensuring standardisation of all product batches as per BIS specified quality parameters.
This is a 3 stage process involving checking and grading of raw materials, in-process quality checks and batch testing of finished products.
Random inspections are carried out during production, for surface defects, diameter accuracy. quality and weld bead shape. Required sample rings as per specification are cut to carry out mechanical testing of weld and body e.g. flattening test, bend test etc.
All batches are then processed in the finishing and testing area for end preparation i.e., facing/beveling followed by hydrostatic pressure testing as per specifications.
